Ginger Turmeric Lemonade

In keeping with our clean summer fun, I have another lemonade recipe for you. Now this is not a typical lemonade recipe, other than having lemons in it. I like to try new recipes and this one was a hit so I am sharing it with you.

This lemonade is more for adults than kids as it is not so sweet and you can taste the peppercorns, would like to suggest would be nice with some gin or vodka!

There’s nothing more refreshing than freshly homemade lemonade!


· 4 lemons

· 7 cups filtered water

· 1.5 inch turmeric root (or 2 tsp turmeric powder)

· 1 inch ginger root (or more to taste)

· 12 peppercorns

· 1/4 cup agave or measure to your sweetness liking


1. Using a sharp knife cut the peel of off the lemons. Discard the seeds then add the lemons to a powerful blender or food processor.

2. Peel the turmeric and ginger root and add them to the blender together with the peppercorns and sweetener or choice.

3. Process until completely smooth, you may need to blend longer to ensure the peppercorns are blended. Taste and adjust sweetness to taste.

Serve chilled over ice, enjoy!
