So.... I decided this week that Ethiopian was not my favorite, however, I did find some new skills and INJERA!! Which, I am so grateful for. I have a sourdough starter now that is just lovely and I intend to use to make all sorts of things. The Injera has an amazing taste and pairs well with anything nearly.
This week was intended to be Venezuelan, but as life is sometimes, we got a bit of a curveball and are deviating from course. Don't Worry!! We will still bring you Venezuelan treats, we will just be a bit further out timewise.
We've developed a couple more things at DW this week as well, we are revising and developing Serenity Series to include pampers (one hostess per week please) and Sunday Dinner with friends post-Sunday slowdown flow! We are excited to roll this out and develop this community and it feels MUCH NEEDED in this Covid lockdown environmrnt.
My middle child has learned this week that his time at home is coming to an end and he's fleeing the nest. As this information developed, I received a very sweet series of messages asking for very particular meals this week. They are a little off in some cases (and sometimes a lot!) from how we try to eat at DW, but I am going to call it a celebration week and roll with it (I'll just do a few extra classes and dog walks ;)
So.... I am thinking we call this the Matthew Childhood favorites week! As I typed up the grocery list, I will admit, I did cringe a bit!!! But... as long as I have a happy Matthew, I am all 100% on board!!
Our meals this week will be:
Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo
Doner Kebab (I am seriously considering using Ethiopian Injera with this)
Gnocchi Macaroni and cheese with broccoli and bacon
Wednesday Wellness! We eat Vegan - Minestrone Soup with vegan parmesan
Sfeeha (Lebanese meat pies and interesting as it is one of our New Beginning themes) made with manakish)
