Yin Yoga and
Chakras Journey Yin & Sound Bath

Destination Wellness - Yoga Class - Yin Yoga.png

Yin Yoga is a relaxing, and balancing yoga practice. Often described as the other half of exercise, it is a complementary practice to more active styles of yoga supporting maintenance of mobility, healing, and an opportunity to explore mindfulness and the subtler aspects of a personal practice.

Working with gravity, students move gently through poses, holding each pose for several minutes. This slow pace allows the pose to work within the deeper tissues. The long-held poses in Yin facilitate stimulation in the deeper connective tissues. Yin classes focus on the lower body; especially the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, and lower spine and provides a balance to the pace of modern living, restoring vitality and supporting natural rhythms.

The intention of these classes is to create space to support the nervous system, reduce stress and anxiety, and build resilience.

We ask Students to please bring a yoga mat and any additional props you enjoy for practice. Suggestions include, but are not limited to; 1-3 blankets for cushioning and to cover you in poses to stay warm, throw pillows, yoga blocks, bolsters or yoga straps.  All classes can be done without props however props are often helpful. We suggest you dress in warm, loose fitting clothes. Yin is not a cardiovascular class so you want to ensure that you are comfortable.

This is an all levels donation based class with a £5 donation suggested per person.
